VideoVault Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using VideoVault: Media Player, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What VideoVault does
VideoVault is a local media utility for importing and playing media, organizing playlists, background playback, Picture in Picture where supported, extracting audio, mixing audio with video, adjusting volume, recording audio, exporting, sharing, and backing up or restoring a VideoVault library.
3. License
Subject to these terms and applicable App Store rules, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use VideoVault on Apple devices you own or control.
4. Your media and legal responsibility
You retain ownership of media you import or create. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions required to use, edit, export, share, or distribute that media.
You must not use VideoVault to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights; distribute unlawful content; bypass digital rights management; or violate applicable law.
5. Lifetime Pro purchase
Lifetime Pro is offered as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase through Apple’s App Store.
- Payment, billing, refunds, transaction history, and purchase authorization are handled by Apple.
- Restore Purchase restores an eligible App Store entitlement; it does not restore media files or playlists.
- Full Library Backup and Restore are separate from purchase restoration.
- Prices and tax treatment may vary by storefront and are shown by Apple before purchase.
6. Local storage, backup, and data loss
VideoVault primarily stores media and playlists locally in the app container. Deleting the app can remove those local files. Before deleting VideoVault, resetting a device, or changing devices, save a Full Library Backup to iCloud Drive or another external location and verify that the backup file exists.
We cannot recover media or backups that were never exported and are no longer present on your device or storage provider. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Availability and compatibility
Features may depend on device hardware, operating system support, available storage, permissions, network access, Apple services, and third-party file providers. Picture in Picture, background behavior, sharing destinations, and file-provider features may vary by device and system version.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Reverse engineering, tampering, or attempting to bypass purchase verification except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Using the app to harm devices, services, or other people.
- Misrepresenting ownership or authorization for media.
- Using VideoVault in violation of App Store rules or applicable law.
9. Updates and changes
We may update VideoVault to fix bugs, improve security, add or remove features, or maintain compatibility. Some updates may require a newer version of iOS or iPadOS.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VideoVault is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every media file or provider, or recovery of data that was not successfully backed up.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including loss caused by app deletion, device failure, insufficient storage, damaged files, or unavailable third-party services. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
12. Apple
Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for VideoVault except as required by applicable App Store terms. Apple and its subsidiaries may be third-party beneficiaries of the applicable end-user license terms.
13. Termination
Your right to use VideoVault ends if you materially violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
